The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) has issued an order notifying the comprehensive guidelines on implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyaan (PM-KUSUM). This order was issued on January 17, 2024. The MNRE has categorised these comprehensive guidelines into the following components: Component A: Setting up of 10,000 MW of Decentralised Ground/ Stilt Mounted Grid Connected Solar or other Renewable Energy based Power Plants’; Component B: Installation of 14 Lakh Stand-alone Solar Agriculture Pumps; Component C: Solarisation of 35 Lakh Grid Connected Agriculture Pumps including Feeder Level Solarization.
