Report on behalf of Government of NCT of Delhi through Delhi Jal Board in compliance of NGT order dated December 22, 2023.
The matter related to a news report (Hindustan Times, November 30, 2023) on arsenic present in groundwater in 25 states and fluoride in 27 states.

Fluoride have been found beyond the permissible limits in the samples of tubewells in some locations of Delhi.The Delhi Jal Board has issued directions to the maintenance divisions of DJB to either stop supply from such tubewells or utilize the water for other purposes except drinking purpose. The report also requested grant of time for carrying out the testing/checking of the contents of arsenic in the samples collected from different tubewells existing in various areas of Delhi.
