The process for treating biodegradable waste by methods of composting/digestion has not started yet. The unit has started the process of legacy waste and legacy waste @1200 MT per day is being processed.. Refuse-derived fuel (RDF) is being generated @1000 MT/month. However, the sanitary landfill site has not been developed yet.

During inspection MSW segregation and processing at the dump site was observed going on. Solid waste @ 85 MT/day generated from Nadiad nagarpalika area is being dumped at this site (22.716209, 72.850557).

During the visit fresh municipal solid waste was observed burning and heavy smoke was observed being generated. During inspection ambient air quality of the site is observed poor due to smoke. Unit has been instructed to develop a sanitary landfill site and bio composting site at the earliest.
