Dilip M Salwi, who has devoted more than 25 years to the cause of popularising science, has authored a number of science-based books for children. Among the more popular ones are Our scientists, A Passage to Antartica, Robots are Coming, Story of Zero, and Science in the 21st Century. His creativity has won him many laurels. In 1995, the New Delhi-based National Council for Science and Technology Communication's award was bestowed on Salwi for popularising science among children. In January, this year, the Indian Science Congress Association awarded him the presitigious B C Deb Memorial Award for Science Popularisation at Patiala.
