 Garbage festival [1]

This show, with music, puppets and plays, received a wide audience. But those who missed the beginning had no clue what was going on, except for the mute banners. It ended up as just a meaningless 'cultural' evening.

Logon kachra nahi pheko aur isse khaad banao, (Make fertiliser from waste), sang community women working with Action India, a group working in slums. Later, Karm Marg, from Faridabad, performed a street play, titled Hawa Hawaii, based on a wind that blows from the village to the city. This was followed by Kathkatha, a puppetry group.
