The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 21st September, 2021 has issued the Fertilizer (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Sixth Amendment Order, 2021. The order provides the procedure, method of calculation and precautions to be followed for determination of zinc, lead, magnesium, arsenic, PH, DTPA soluble zin in fertilizers.

The researchers estimated the reactive nitrogen (Nr) lost per unit food Nr consumed for organic food production in the United States and compared it to conventional production. We used a nitrogen footprint model approach, which accounts for both differences in Nr losses as well as differences in productivity of the two systems.

The experimental work presented in this study was carried out with the hypothesis that plant derived smoke enhanced the morphological, physiological and biochemical attributes of a cereal crop, wheat (Triticum aestivum L.). Furthermore, this study supported the hypothesis that plant derived smoke acts as vegetative growth promoter, inexpensive, rapid and most appropriate eco-friendly bio-fertilizer for sustainable agriculture.
