Shortage of dustbins forces the people in Sylhet city to dump wastes into canals, drains and road-sides, polluting environment and posing threat to public health.
Not a single dustbin has been installed in the city after Sylhet district town was upgraded into the city corporation about a decade ago, according to statistics available with the corporation.
