N India losing groundwater at rate of foot per yr: Nasa [1]

Mumbai: Using Nasa satellite data, scientists have found that groundwater levels in northern India have been declining by as much as 33 cm (one foot) per year over the past decade. Researchers have concluded that the loss is almost entirely due to human activity, says a news release from Nasa
