Anticipating difficult times ahead, the State Agriculture Department has readied a proposal worth over Rs 550 crore to help farmers tide over a situation created by deficit rainfall. If accepted, the proposal that has been submitted to the State Revenue Department could be a lifeline for farmers who have already been affected by dry spells, which have only recently been interrupted by rains
