The Rajasthan April 1: The Rajasthan high court has banned the use of iron goads to control elephants and issued guidelines in this regard. The court ruled that if any elephant owner is found violating the guidelines, his/her ownership certificate will be cancelled. The court passed this judgement while hearing a petition filed by an animal lover.
