A bill to provide for the management, control and regulation of the conservation, protection and development of groundwater in the State and for matters connected therewith or incidental thereto. This Act may be called the Uttar Pradesh Groundwater Conservation, Protection and Development (Management, Control and Regulation) Act, 2010. It extends to the whole of the State of Uttar Pradesh. It shall come into force on such date as the State Government may, by notification in the Gazette, appoint, and different dates for different areas may be appointed.
