GoM soft on Dow, funds marked for clean-up not enough: Activists [1]

The recommendations of the Group of Ministers on the Bhopal gas tragedy have left activists campaigning on behalf of the survivors disappointed.

While they welcomed the announcement related to enhanced compensation, they felt the GoM had been soft on Dow Chemicals by agreeing to allocate Rs 300 crore on its own for the clean-up of the site, for now.
