Fourteen years after the Supreme Court introduced a licence-permit raj in all activities crossing the path of forests and wildlife, Chief Justice of India did a rethink on Friday on whether it exceeded its brief by usurping executive power.
Being of the view that it was time to let go the decision to test the viability of development and mining projects on the touchstone of forest and wildlife
