Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) report World Culture Festival in OA No.65/2016 before Hon'ble NGT On the direction of the Hon'ble National Green Tribunal (NGT) in the matter of Manoj Mishra Vs Union of India & Others in Original Application No.6 of 2012, a Committee was constituted in February, 2013 with Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests (MoEF) as Chairman, in connection with development and beautification of the banks of river Yamuna formulated by Delhi Development Authority, and removal of debris lying along the river banks by the concerned agencies. Subsequently, MoEF had constituted a three member Expert Committee vide Order No. K-13-1112/2013-NRCD dated 13.09.2013 with Prof C R Babu as Chairman, Rtd from Delhi University, other two members of the committee were Prof Brij Gopal, Retd from JNU and Prof A K Gosain from IIT Delhi.
