Question raised in Lok Sabha on Status of Implementation of MGNREGS, 15/12/2016. The Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Act (MGNREGA),
2005 provides for the enhancement of livelihood security of the households in rural areas of the States/UTs including Andhra Pradesh by providing at least one hundred days of guaranteed wage employment in every financial year to every household whose adult members volunteer to do unskilled manual work. Details of person days generated in the States/UTs including Andhra Pradesh under MGNREGA during the last three years and the current year are at Annexure-I. Details of fund released to Andhra Pradesh under the Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGS) during the last three financial years and the current year (as on 13.12.2016) are at Annexure-II.
