Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of Wildlife First Vs Ministry of Forest And Environment & Others dated 18/04/2018 regarding claims under Forest Rights Act 2006, India. Several states have failed to file their affidavits in this matter in spite of having 4 weeks time. Apex Court imposes a cost of Rs. 50,000 on the states of Karnataka, Kerala, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Assam, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana and directs all the states to take the matter seriously.
