Order of the High Court of Delhi in the matter of SACH Vs Union of India & Others dated 16/05/2018 regarding municipal solid waste rules 2016. A PIL was filed in the Delhi High Court which challenged the municipal solid waste rules 2016 on the context that the rules hold individuals and not the local bodied responsible for segregation of garbage at source.
Delhi High Court also appointed Sunita Narain, Director General of the Centre for Science and Environment (CSE) as amicus curiae in the matter and listed the matter for 24th September, 2018.
