Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Residents of Asha Nagar, Mulund West, Mumbai Vs State of Maharashtra dated 09/08/2019 regarding air pollution by small scale industries in Nandanvan Industrial Estate at Asha Nagar, Mulund (West), Mumbai.

The Maharashtra State Pollution Control Board (MSPCB) in its report had admitted that industrial pollution has been taking place and MSPCB after visiting the site, has issued notices. Steps are also being taken for recovery of damages. A further action taken report from the pollution control board has informed the Tribunal that steps in the matter have been taken for recovery of compensation. The NGT disposes of the application with the direction that MSPCB should continue to monitor compliance of water and air quality norms by the industries.
