The Department of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare on 21st September, 2021 has issued the Fertilizer (Inorganic, Organic or Mixed) (Control) Sixth Amendment Order, 2021. The order provides the procedure, method of calculation and precautions to be followed for determination of zinc, lead, magnesium, arsenic, PH, DTPA soluble zin in fertilizers. Pure chemicals and distilled water shall be used in tests. Pure chemicals shall mean chemicals that do not contain impurities which affect the results of analysis. Demineralised water means the water obtained after passing distilled water through a cation and an anion exchange resins or a combined cationation exchange resin.
