This Strategy document is envisaged to be a guidance tool that is self-evolving in nature. It will provide the much-needed impetus for moving towards the targeted goal of an improved set of environmental accounts. The strategy also sets a goal for betterment in terms of quality, coverage and standards. Through the deliverables specified in the strategy, the timely monitoring of the system is expected to be achieved. Overall, the strategy document provides a direction for the development of environmental accounting in India during the period 2022-2026.
