The Central Government vide notification dated 29th June, 2022 has issued Draft Central Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022. The amendment classifies vehicle in respect of which a type-approval certificate has been issued on or before the commencement of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022 as existing models. New model means the vehicle in respect which a type-approval certificate has been issued after the commencement of the Motor Vehicles (Amendment) Rules, 2022.
