The Department of Pharmaceuticals (DoP) has come out with a draft National Pharmaceuticals Policy (NPP) 2023 emphasising on a holistic policy approach to address the challenges faced by Indian pharmaceutical industries and provide definitive policy interventions to enhance the collective ecosystem. The Department has released an approach paper on the draft National Pharmaceutical Policy, 2023 for stakeholder consultation, with a vision of "Empowering Health for All: Pioneering Excellence in Pharmaceuticals”. The policy aspires to establish India as a global leader in pharmaceuticals backed by world class infrastructure and enabling ecosystem, where cutting-edge research and development lead to the creation of innovative and affordable healthcare solutions, fostering a healthier, more prosperous nation and contributing to global health equity, aligning with the vision of Amrit Kaal Vision@2047, said the Department.
