Spatial modeling and preparation of decision support system for conservation of biological diversity of Barnadi WS, Assam [1]

This study aimed to create a complete GIS base database for the entire sanctuary using ancillary data of the sanctuary as well as using recent technology i.e. Remote Sensing and GIS, habitat characterization pattern of Barnadi WLS, create a decision support system (DSS) of Barnadi WLS using geo-informatics and analyze the change detection of habitat pattern in Barnadi WLS. A complete GIS base database has been prepared using ancillary data (toposheet, map available with forest department and old satellite data of Barnadi WLS) as well as recent primary and secondary data collected from field and also using geo-spatial technology.
