IN the wake of the mounting protests against the proposed introduction of Bt brinjal, the Tamil Nadu Agr i c u l t u r a l U n ive r s i t y (TNAU) Vice-Chancellor P Murugesa Boopathi said the institute would not go ahead with its plan of introducing the new varieties for cultivation after the government refused to grant permission for the release.
