India and China have agreed to enhance cooperation in the forestry sector. Following a visit of an Indian delegation to China in April, which focused on Afforestation and Plantation Technology, Remote Sensing and Research & Training, a broad programme of collaboration was identified. Welcoming the visit, the Minister for Environment & Forests, Mr Jairam Ramesh noted:
