MUMBAI: The state government has set up a ministerial cabinet sub-committee to frame a revised comprehensive policy on sand extraction in Maharashtra. Ironically, not a single expert from the field or environmentalists have been included in the government panel.
The six member cabinet sub-committee announced by the state government will be headed by revenue minister Narayan Rane.
