1 lakh trees to face axe for Central varsity [1]

n 9,000 trees in 150 acre forest land near Indrunag temple in Dharamsala to go
n In Dehra, the state government is diverting 400 hectare forest land. More than 90,000 trees to be felled on the land
n Diverting such a huge chunk of forest land is also against the policy of Himachal
n The case will go to Union Ministry for Environment for clearance
Forest officials have counted shrubs.
