Rural women in the state can now procure quality sanitary napkins, as the Centre has allotted Punjab a project to use hosiery waste from the textile hub of Ludhiana to make low-cost sanitary napkins for the women.
The project, to be executed by the Punjab State Council for Science and Technology (PSCST), will not only take care of the huge amounts of knitwear waste that the units find difficult
