The Environmental Impact Assessment report has been prepared for the proposed 1600 MW power (2×800 MW) to be set up near a small village called Udangudi in Thoothukudi district, Tamil Nadu by UPCL. It would be developed with super critical technology to obtain benefits under clean development mechanism (CDM Project). Based on the Terms of Reference prescribed by the Ministry of Environment and Forests, Government of India for the EIA study has been addressed in this EIA report.
