Order of the National Green Tribunal in the matter of Ramaa Shyama Papers Ltd. Vs. Smt. Sunaina Singh & Ors. dated 11/08/2015 regarding pollution caused by Ramaa Shyama Papers Ltd., Bareilly, Uttar Pradesh.
The Tribunal also noted in the order that "the question of paying environmental compensation for the past pollution, if any, caused by the industry does arise in this Application." The industry would get their remediation plan for reclamation of soil below the low lying area prepared by the IIT falling within the concerned jurisdiction.
