The present study report aims at recommending a smooth transformational action plan for the TN electricity sector to meet the hugely onerous electricity requirements by 2050 after a due diligence process involving: the analysis of state’s geographic and climatic conditions, and the natural resource base from the climate change perspective; consideration of the past and present practices in the state’s power sector; drawing from the knowledge/experience of other parts of the world in such energy transformation; and simulation consideration of TN’s power network by 2050 and considering a high level costs and benefits of the desired network infrastructure.
