Order of the Supreme Court of India in the matter of M. C. Mehat Vs Union of India & Others dated 12/03/2018 regarding sealing drive in Delhi against illegal properties.

Supreme Court asks the Delhi Development Authority and other civic agencies in Delhi the steps taken "to ensure that whatever construction is made is in accordance with the provisions of the Environment (Protection) Act, 1986 and the notifications therein relating to environmental clearance; fire clearance including fire safety measures; availability of water supply which should be made available to everybody in the city and not just to few people; electricity supply which should be made available to everybody and not to few people, adequate foot paths, adequate parking area for parking of vehicles for both two wheelers and four wheelers".
