IN Karachi, Hyderabad and Sukkur, one finds neglected and stagnant water ponds in almost every locality. These ponds are the result of an effluent from a community, or groundwater upward seepage due to capillary action, or canal water seepage (in case of Hyderabad and Sukkur), or water received from diffused water sources.
