The Ministry of Health released on Thursday this year's figures regarding the number of cases of vector-borne diseases like dengue, malaria and Chikungunya.
Last year, 392 malaria cases were reported from government hospitals and dispensaries in June, while cases of dengue rose from 21 in June to 399 in September in 2018.
According to health authorities, the number of cases has come down from 2017, when 6,390 suspected cases of dengue were registered.
