National Sample Survey Organisation (NSSO) conducted an integrated survey of households and service sector enterprises in the 63rd round of NSS during July 2006 - June 2007. The subjects covered were service sector enterprises (excluding trade) and household consumer expenditure. One distinctive feature of survey on service sector enterprises was inclusion of financial enterprises under survey coverage for the first time.
The present report is the second and the last report based on the survey on service sector enterprises. The present report gives details of economic characteristics of enterprises like input, output, value added, wages to workers, fixed
assets etc. at all India level for different industrial activity groups and at the level of States / UTs for all the industries taken together.
