This report is based on the data collected through the 62nd round of NSS. It gives quantitative information on various characteristics pertaining to employment and unemployment and some characteristics associated with them at the national and state levels. This report also presents some quantitative information on current attendance in educational institutions for persons in the age group 5-29 years and on vocational training received by persons in the age group 15-29 years.

This report presents data on both level of consumption measured by the sum of monetary values of goods and services consumed per month by households and pattern of consumption reflected in the composition of total consumption by commodity group. The report also presents distribution of households and persons over different ranges of quantitative consumption level, separately for rural and urban areas of different States of the country.

This report presents the information on nutritional intake by the Indian population. Among the different nutrients only three nutrients: viz. calorie, protein and fat - are discussed in this report. This report gives an idea about intake of these nutrients in different monthly per capita expenditure classes from different items of food.
