A recent assessment of impact of tourism activities and infrastructure on tigers and other wildlife in and around Corbett Tiger Reserve. Says that tourism inside the core critical habitat is unsustainable and is a serious threat to Corbett.
The objective of this report is to assess and understand the impact of increasing tourism activities and infrastructure in an around Corbet Tiger Reserve on wildlife. It is hoped that this report will serve as an indicator of the devastating impact of insensitive and unsustainable tourim on wildlife, and serve as an information base to formulate a sound ecologically sensitive tourim policy around critical tiger habitats, in this care particularly Corbet Tiger Reserve.
