The methodology for ground water resources estimation is based on relatively sound scientific basis. It also meets adequately well the practical requirements for formulating rational ground water development strategies. Further, it commensurates with the
available human resources, the level of technical skills and available infrastructure facilities with the state level ground water organizations which have to actually apply the methodology. However, it is also to be recognized that the methodology has considerable scope for refinements and improvements which can be planned to be achieved in a phased manner for future assessment.
