These rules may be called the Central Motor Vehicles (11th Amendment) Rules, 2014. On July 4, 2014, India finalized the fourth stage of emission standards for motorized two- wheeled vehicles. The Bharat Stage (BS) IV standards shall come into force for two wheelers manufactured on and after the 1st April, 2016 for new types of vehicle models and from the 1st April, 2017 for existing types of vehicle models.
