The Indus equation [1]

This report by Strategic Foresight is a comprehensve analysis of India-Pakistan controversy over Indus Water treaty and provides recommendations that will assist water cooperation between these two nations in the future.

Strategic Foresight Group has released a report called ‘Indus Equation’ that provides clarifications on the water issues between India and Pakistan. The Pakistani media is full of reports claiming India is encroaching on their water supply but a close examination of the facts reveals that the controversy over water is much ado about nothing and easily avoidable. As the authors of this paper have demonstrated, the India-Pakistan controversy  over Indus is much ado about nothing. It would be much better for the two countries to appreciate the unique Indus equation they have created through a historic treaty which has completed half a century of uninterrupted
existence and nurture it for the decades to come.
