Comprehensive Mobility Plan (CMP) for Amritsar is on the anvil to optimize the mobility pattern of people and goods besides easing the vehicular flow. The task of preparing the CMP had been entrusted to Consulting Engineering Services (I) Pvt. Ltd. The Company had conducted an exhaustive survey of road network, inventory, speed and delay survey, traffic volume count, pedestrian movement survey, intersection turning movement count, freight operator survey as well as household interviews and submitted the Draft Final Report (DFR). The study area included an area of 142.37 sq. kms. within the limits of Municipal Corporation and the four major urban settlements (Jandiala, Rayya, Majitha, Rajasansi) within the local planning area of Amritsar.
