Global Financial Development Report 2014 is the second in a new World Bank series. It also underscores that the objective is not financial inclusion for the sake of inclusion. For example, policies promoting credit for all at all costs can lead to greater financial and economic instability. The report offers practical, evidence-based advice on policies that support healthy financial inclusion.
