Status of rural water supply in Maharashtra [1]

This report is an outcome of the field study conducted to assess the status of rural water supply schemes in Maharashtra. The Ministry of Drinking Water and Sanitation (MDWS), Government of India assigned the task to conduct a third party evaluation to Tata Institute of Social Sciences. The objectives of the evaluation study are: To study status of the water supply systems in selected Gram Panchayats in Maharashtra (including the Anganwadis and schools in the GPs); To assess the functionality of water supply systems in the selected Gram Panchayat, Anganwadi and schools in Maharashtra.
