Draft Notification on Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Amendment Regulations, 2020 prescribing the revision of label declaration on the package of food which is permitted to contain the sweetener [1]

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India vide notification dated 16th September, 2020 has published the draft Food Safety and Standards (Packaging and Labelling) Amendment Regulations, 2020. Every package of food which is permitted to contain sweetener and an advertisement for such food shall carry the label which clarifies its ingredients, recommended consumers and quantity of sugar in that product.
