The impacts of climate change on water resources and agriculture were assessed. These two key sectors are highly sensitive to climate and provide support to the livelihoods of the poorer sections of the population. The study: Assessed the present water availability and examined the links between changes in river flow and agricultural water use in key river basins in MP and Odisha. Assessed the impacts of climate change on crop production and yields of the major crops in the two states: rice, wheat and soybean. ntegrated the impacts of climate change on water supply, water demand and crop water requirements.
