Corporate water disclosure guidelines: toward a common approach to reporting water issues [1]

The CEO Water Mandate, part of the UN Global Compact, has released a report titled ‘Corporate Water Disclosure Guidelines: Toward a Common Approach to Reporting Water Issues.' The report aims to provide common approaches and metrics for disclosure that will facilitate progress towards sustainable corporate water management. The report includes step-by-step guidance on how to prepare water-related disclosures, such as: how to align disclosure with corporate water management practices; the company water profile; how to define what to report; and detailed water disclosure, including understanding and linking components of the framework, assessing the current state, considering the implications and developing a strategic response.
