The report "Water for Development – Charting a Water Wise Path" is the main input for the 2015 World Water Week and was authored by a range of global experts in the field of water and development. Among the topics addressed by the report are: the role of water in the MDG progress and the future SDGs; water security and disaster risk reduction; and the role of Information Communications Technology (ICT) for water and development. Chapter topics also include the water-energy-food nexus, the role of water for urban development and the use of rain to provide for increased food security and poverty reduction in sub-Saharan Africa.
