The FSSAI has notified the FSS (Prohibition and Restrictions on Sales) Amendment Regulations, 2017 regarding certain restriction on sale of cream ans FSS (Food products standards and food additives) Amendment Regulations, 2017 regarding revised standards for milk and milk products. These standards are being introduced to widen the scope of existing standards for milk and other dairy products in Food Safety and Standards Regulations, 2011. The purpose of these standards in particular is to redefine the dairy product in more comprehensive manner inclusive of all the relevant provisions in accordance with the international practices.
