With 184 Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) under development, and only 19 having secured (partial) funding, a large gap remains at NAMA implementation level. This is one of the findings of the Annual NAMA Status Report 2016 by Ecofys and ECN which has been launched at the UN climate summit. Published under the Mitigation Momentum Project, the report has been funded by the International Climate Initiative of the German Ministry for the Environment. With a view to the many NAMAs that are still looking for financing, this report captures the experience and expectations of representatives of the African Development Bank (AfDB), the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Green Climate Fund (GCF), the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), and the World Bank related to NAMA financing.
