With 184 Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) under development, and only 19 having secured (partial) funding, a large gap remains at NAMA implementation level. This is one of the findings of the Annual NAMA Status Report 2016 by Ecofys and ECN which has been launched at the UN climate summit.

This 2016 Mid-Year Report, launched at the beginning of the climate change conference in Bonn (SB sessions), is the first update report in the NAMA Status Report series after the adoption of the Paris Agreement at COP21.

The report looks back on the past years and discusses the evolution of NAMAs, it presents five case studies (Chile, Indonesia, Kenya, Tunisia, and Peru) and draws insights from hands-on NAMA experience and dialogues with peers, and it looks into the future of NAMAs as essential building block for a global climate regime.

This 2013 edition of the global report on Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) by ECN provides up-to-date snapshots and analyses of recent developments in the world of NAMAs.

This mid-year update of the Status Report on Nationally Appropriate Mitigation Actions (NAMAs) by Ecofys and ECN was launched at the Bonn Climate Change Conference in June 2013. It shows that NAMAs are becoming an increasingly attractive vehicle for developing countries looking to attract climate finance for low-carbon development activities.
